Honeyed Chicken Wings2 tablespoons lemon juice4 tablespoons soy sauce1/2 teaspoon freshly chopped ginger1 teaspoon dried thyme8 chicken wings2 tablespoons honey2 tablespoons tomato sauce or pur?eTo make marinade, mix together lemon juice, soy sauce, ginger and thyme. Cut  wing tips from wings, coat with marinade mixture. Allow to marinate in the refrigerator for 6 to  hours.Mix honey, tomato sauce or pur?e and 2 tablespoons of marinade. Drain the chicken wings and grill for 5 minutes. Brush with honey mixture and grill for another 5 minutes.Turn the wings over, brush with more of the honey mixture and grill for another 10 minutes.Serves 4.

Sesame Wings2 pounds chicken wings, disjointed1/2 cup honey2/3 cup prepared mustardJuice of 1/2 lemon1 teaspoon curry powder3 cloves garlic, crushedGround black pepper1/2 cup sesame seedsCombine honey, mustard , lemon juice, curry powder, garlic, and pepper in a resealable  plastic bag. Add chicken wings, and marinate at least 1 hour in refrigerator.Meanwhile, toast sesame seeds by placing on a cookie sheet in a 350 degrees F oven for approximately 10 to 15 minutes, shaking to toss occasionally.Remove wings from marinade. Broil for 5 to 10 minutes on each side, or until well cooked. Baste with marinade every few minutes. Remove from oven, and sprinkle liberally with the sesame seeds.

South Seas Wings3 pounds chicken wings1 cup soy sauce1 cup brown sugar, packed1/2 cup butter1 teaspoon dry mustard3/4 cup waterDisjoint the chicken wings, discarding the tips.Combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, butter or margarine, mustard and water and heat until the sugar  and butter dissolve. Let mixture cool and pour over wings. Marinate in the refrigerator for 2 hours, turning occasionally.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.Bake chicken wings in marinade for 45 minutes, turning once and spooning marinade over chicken occasionally. Drain on paper towels and serve.

Mahogany Wings1 cup soy sauce1 cup barbecue sauce1/2 cup dry white wine1/2 cup vegetable oil6 tablespoons granulated sugar2 cloves garlic, chopped3 pounds chicken wingsPrepare chicken wings by cutting the wings into three pieces. Discard wing tips. Combine marinade  ingredients. Marinate chicken 12 to 24 hours.Remove chicken wings from marinade. Spread on a baking sheet. Bake for 11/2 hours in a 325 degrees F oven, basting occasionally. Watch chicken carefully. The sugar in the marinade may scorch near the end of the cooking time. If necessary, shorten cooking time slightly.

Houska (Braided Bread)Submitted to recipegoldmine.com by Roy Vyskocil1 package yeast 3 tablespoon honey 1/2 cup warm water 3/4 cup scalded milk 1/4 cup granulated sugar 1/3 cup margarine 1 teaspoon salt 4 1/4 - 4 3/4 cups flour, divided 2 eggs 1/4 teaspoon mace 1/2 cup  golden raisins 1/2 cup sliced almondsMix the honey and warm water to dissolve, add yeast. In a small saucepan, heat the milk almost to boiling point, then remove from heat. Combine the scalded milk, sugar, margarine, and salt; cool to lukewarm.Stir 1 cup of flour into milk mixture, beat well. Stir in the yeast mixture. Add eggs and beat well. Add mace, raisins, and almonds. Add 3 more cups of flour, stirring to make a soft dough. Turn the dough onto a well-floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, adding flour a little at a time to keep dough from sticking. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, turning the dough once to grease all sides. Cover and let rise in a warm place until dough is double in size (about 1 hour).Punch down dough and divide into 5 pieces, 3 the same size, 2 slightly smaller. The 3 larger pieces are rolled out to form a 17-inch roll and then braided together. This is the bottom row. The 2 smaller pieces are rolled out and twisted together and placed on top of the 3-braid piece, tucking the ends under. Assemble on a cookie sheet with parchment paper on the diagonal. Let the Houska rise in a warm place until about double in size.rush the tops with milk. Bake in a 350 degree F oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Brush the tops lightly with butter when the loaves are still warm for a softer crust.

County Fair Corn DogsPosted by bettyboop50 at recipegoldmine.comThis is one of my son's favorite (he's 30 years old). He can eat 10 in one sitting dipping them in mustard. Whenever he decides to come over, he always requests them.1/3 cup cornmeal2/3 cup all-purpose flour1  tablespoon brown sugar1 teaspoon salt1 beaten egg2 tablespoons oil1/2 cup milk1 tablespoon prepared mustard1 pound hot dogs (I use Sabrett's or Boar's Head)Flour for dredging the hot dogsOil for fryingHeat the oil to 375 degrees F.Combine dry ingredients. Add egg, oil, milk and mustard. Mixing well.Insert wooden skewers (or new Popsicle sticks) lengthwise into hot dogs. Coat with flour, then dip into batter, coating well.Fry in deep hot oil for 2-3 minutes or till golden brown. Drain on paper towels to absorb any oil. Keep in a warm oven until you use up all of the hot dogs.Serve with mustard and enjoy!

Barbecue Beef Crescents1 pound ground beef2 (8 ounce) cans crescent dough1/4 cup chopped onion3/4 cup barbecue sauce6 slices American cheese2 teaspoons toasted sesame seedPreheat oven to 375 degrees F.Brown hamburger and onion. Drain. Stir in barbecue sauce. On ungreased  cookie sheet, arrange crescents as 4 long rectangles. Press edges and perforations together. Spread meat mixture lengthwise in a 4-inch wide strip down the center of crescent dough. Top meat mixture with cheese. Cover with crescent. Pinch to close off. Sprinkle with sesame seed. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Deluxe Machaca Chimichangas (Chimichangas de Machaca Especial)4 flour tortillas, 12-inch diameter1 recipe Machaca2 cups mild Cheddar cheese, grated1 cup green chile, peeled, seeded, and minced1/4 cup pickled jalape?o chiles, seeded and minced1 recipe Basic New Mexico Chile  Sauce1 cup sour creamShredded lettuce and chopped tomatoHeat vegetable oil in a deep fryer to 350 degrees F.Soften the tortillas. Place approximately 1/2 to 3/4 cup of the Machaca on each tortilla; then top each with 1/4 cup cheese (reserve the remaining cup of cheese for the final topping), 1/4 cup green chile, 1 tablespoon pickled jalape?os, and roll it up.Meanwhile, bring the chile sauce to a simmer. Fry the burritos one at a time until they are a crispy golden brown. Quickly drain the chimichangas and place them on individual serving plates. Cover the chimichangas with the chile sauce, sprinkle with the remaining cheese, and then top each chimichanga with 1/4 cup of sour cream. Garnish the plates with the lettuce and tomato and serve immediately.

The meat should be quite dry and beginning to stiffen. If not, continue baking a few more minutes. The meat can be prepared to this point and then refrigerated, if desired.To prepare the filling, heat a large skillet over moderate heat. Add the oil, then the onion, and saut? it until it is just soft but not browned, 2 to 3 minutes. Gradually add water, Worcestershire sauce, and broth, stirring with a whisk until blended; set aside.Cook beef and onion in a large saucepan coated with cooking spray over medium-high heat until browned, stirring to crumble. Drain well; return meat mixture to pan. Add parsley and next 5 ingredients; stir well. Add broth mixture; cook over medium heat 15 minutes or until thick, stirring constantly.Spoon mixture into a 13 x 9-inch baking dish coated with cooking spray.
