Amery was bored, as he

Was usually in the countryside:

He'd walk alone, reciting poe,

Returning home through the failing light.

One day, he'd gone some miles along

A new road, when on an old man's bad advice

He left to cross the woods, but just

Got totally lost, and then





The maryland electric rainstorm broke

Over his head, making him wet, upset, then

Soaked through his skin, into his heart and soul





Suddenly, no more trees
