I'm losing my direction
Something's come between us
It's gettin' hard to do right

They've split us into sections
I'm from mars and your from venus
But stranded in the daylight
Nothin' is defined
But as the late summer honey light
Shifts and caresses the buildings...

Dark starry eyes
Searching the skies
Because it's hidden from view
Don't mean it isn't for you

We've only gotta take it
Cos' it's a dark, dark sky
Holds the north star high
And guides us and bathes us
In stillness and sameness and blue

I've made a big decision
In the light of the eternal

Cushioned by the dark sky
Reflected in the river
Flowing to the sea
And as the reasons and rumours recede
Dyin' on the lesseing breeze

In the city lights at midnight
Fragments of a life led searching

The hills at dawn with your cool dark daughter

'neath the moon's watchful eye,

You set a small revolution,

It's a veil drawn aside

And revealed is the real world,
And it feels like my world

To the diamond-light stars long ago
The river of brightness flows

On the end of the pier,
Saw the sun slidin' down,
On the dyin' embers of an empire
See their faces appear,
Everyone who was ever sold out and laid low,
Their voices submerged
In the sound of a choir
We've got time on our side...

And revealed is the real world,
And it feels like my world
From the crystal cold winter,
So petrified and numb
That the blazing-bright sun overthrows,
